It is located on the Red Sea in Egypt's Red Sea Governorate, some 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of Hurghada. It is located on the Red Sea Riviera and serves as the host city for the El Gouna Film Festival. El Gouna has ten kilometers of shoreline and is made up of twenty islands surrounded by lagoons. The settlement is 25 kilometers from Hurghada International Airport.

About ELGOUNA:-

In the late 1980s, my family and I discovered an undeveloped section of Egypt's Red Sea coast. Inspired by its beauty, I envisioned a sustainable vacation town that coexists peacefully with nature. We started the process of building El Gouna back in 1989. It all started with a commitment to environmentally sustainable development and one-of-a-kind architecture, which laid the groundwork for a vibrant community.
