Cairo University
Cairo University is considered the second oldest university in Egypt and ranks third among Arab universities after Al-Azhar University and Al-Qarawiyin University. This university was established on December 21, 1908, under the name of Fuad I University, and later changed its name to Cairo University. The American University in Cairo (AUC)
Established in 1919, it is the largest private educational institution in Egypt and one of the best and most distinguished universities in Cairo. Its professors and employees are all fluent in English, and its headquarters is located in New Cairo. The AUC is an institution of higher education accredited by the United States of America and is an important center for intellectual, social, and cultural life in the Arab world. The German University in Cairo is an independent Egyptian private institution, managed by a consortium of Germans and Egyptians with the vision of building a leading center of excellence in teaching and research.
