The Gluten Free House
One of the best gluten-free restaurants in Cairo serving everything you can think of gluten-free. Located in Sheraton El Matar, El Nozha, The Gluten Free House is the perfect place for anyone eliminating gluten from their diet. It is one of the very few restaurants that serve gluten-free pizza that is to die for. They also serve all types of bread, including baladi bread. You know what that means, The Gluten Free House also serves hawawshi, burgers and shawarma. For anyone looking for fried chicken, they’ve got your back! They serve gluten-free fried chicken. Now for the fun stuff, desserts. They offer apple pie, basbousa, cinnamon rolls, brownies and cookies. Everything you’ve ever wanted, gluten-free.
Alfredo Restaurant
Italian cuisine is always a good choice, but when you’re going gluten-free your options are slim to none. Alfredo Restaurant is located in Marriot Mena House, Giza and is not a gluten-free restaurant, but has gluten-free options. They serve gluten-free pasta and dinner rolls. This might not seem like a lot of options, but trust us, their pasta is one of the best gluten-free pastas out there.
Kazoku
You can’t go wrong with Japanese cuisine, it’s mostly gluten-free friendly. Located in Swan Lake Compound, New Cairo, Kazoko is our absolute go-to when we’re craving Japanese. They, of course, serve sushi and sashimi, but they also serve main dishes that are gluten-free friendly, as well as gluten-free desserts like mochi.
What The Pho
Let’s talk Vietnamese. The Vietnamese cuisine is full of absolutely delicious dishes that will take you on an unexplored culinary journey. What The Pho is located in Maadi Court Yard, Maadi. Although it is not a gluten-free restaurant, it offers gluten-free options. They offer rice noodles for you not to miss out on noodles. They also offer summer rolls made with rice wraps. What The Pho also has vegan options.
Tao
Tao is a multi Asian cuisine restaurant with a chef for each cuisine. Each chef comes with years of experience to give us an experience unlike any other. Tao offers Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai, and Asian-fusion cuisines. It is located in Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo Hotel, New Cairo. It is not a gluten-free restaurant, however; it offers gluten-free options. Tao offers glass and rice noodles from the Chinese cuisine. It also offers sushi and sashimi from the Japanese cuisine. Tao also offers gluten-free main courses from all the cuisines.
Ladurée
We can’t forget the dessert lovers out there with gluten-free restrictions. Of course, the infamous Ladurée will go on our list with almost 2 centuries of experience serving out-of-this-world pastries. Macarons are without question gluten-free, so get them from the best place to serve macaron in Egypt. They also serve ispahan that is gluten-free, which is a rose petal macaron with fresh raspberries and lycchees. Ladurée has multiple locations around Egypt, Waterway, Arkan Plaza, Grand Egyptian Musuem, Mall of Egypt, Marassi, Great Pyramids of Giza.
Otto
Another Italian restaurant is going on our list, but it is absolutely worth it. Otto is not a gluten-free restaurant but offers gluten-free options. It is located in Garden 8, New Cairo. It’s vibes are next-level and have you leaving satisfied and ready to come back. Otto offers gluten-free pasta, as well as gluten-free main courses, appetizers, and salads.
JW’s Steakhouse
Last but certainly not least, JW’s Steakhouse, home to the best steaks and seafood out there. It is located in Heliopolis, Cairo. You can’t really go wrong with what they have to offer, pretty much everything is gluten-free. They offer rib-eye steaks, lobster, fois gras, and salads.
